ECB and PGNiG Termika invite you to a technical trip around Żerań Heat and Power Plant (EC) Żerań – the second largest heat source facility for Warsaw managed by PGNiG Termika SA. Żerań Heat and Power Plant is one of five facilities in Warsaw agglomeration managed by PGNiG Termika SA. At present, Żerań Heat and Power Plant is under modernisation and expansion process adjusting existing installations to restrictive environmental requirements. Additionally there are some design and construction works on the site aiming at the development of new generation units planned to replace the old power plant sections.

The technical tour  will take our visitors along the engine room with turbine section, heat and power control station, steam and fluidized boilers, poer switch room as well as newly constructed  combined gas&steam generation unit and gas boiler house. The boiler house fuelled by gas in Żerań Heat and Power Plant comprises three water boilers with the heat power output of 130MWt each (390 MWt in total). This boiler house shall replace the older water boilers fuelled by coal. This development shall decrease the amount of pollutants emitted to the air and shall meet both present and future environmental restrictions.

The gas-steam power unit in Żerań Heat and Power Plantin the key investment project in PGNiG Termika SA.  This modern generation unit  is critial for energy security of Warsaw agglomeration. Furthermore, due to the implementation of the cutting edge gas technologies it will considerably improve the air quality and will meet the most restrictive European environment protection criteria. The unit will be equipped with Fclass gas turbine with waste heat boiler and stram turbine. The unit will reach the power output of 496MWe and the heat output of 326MWt.
